Episode 04: Breaking Free From Your Rut

Welcome to the Thursday Morning Debrief with Ben and Ryan.

This is a podcast where we seek to leverage our friendship to maintain a soft heart towards Jesus and towards our ministry.

In this week's episode: "Breaking Free From Your Rut"

This week, we discuss:

What kinds of circumstances get us in a rut?

We need to remind ourselves that everything we do in student ministry is for our students and families, not for us.

And we will close our episode with some practical, go-to ideas that you can use to pull yourself out of your rut and into the call that God placed upon your life.

This week's musical selection, "Best Day of My Life," by American Authors was chosen by Ben - simply because when I am in a rut, one of the most helpful ways to get out is with some good tunes!

Ryan offers the Blessing for the Youth Worker this week:

May you fellow, maturing youth worker, know that your rut is all your own. May you see that it is only by the redemption and grace of Christ, and the calling of God on you life, that you get the privilege of serving in God's church.  And may you see that you are called, gifted, and equipped to continue with this great work. In the name of Christ, Amen!
