How Your Church Can Build Marriages That Last

If you have read my posts for any amount of time, then you probably know that I am quite fond of a family ministry organization called Orange. I have written several posts about Orange, and I highly encourage you to check them out in my Archives.

Truly, they have equipped me to lead better in every facet of my ministry - from parents to students to working with my Lead Pastor. I highly commend them to you as a resource and support community.

A quick caveat for non-paid youth workers: I highly commend Orange to you as a resource regardless of your capacity in family ministry. I believe that anyone who gets involved with this these guys - whether you are a Lead Pastor, Youth Pastor, volunteer, parent, or caring adult - you will be further equipped to support your local church and participate in the work of God in the lives of families living in your community.

This week, Orange launched a new initiative. They opened to the public for the first time

And this week only, my friends over at Orange Books are offering some AMAZING deals. In fact, I am going to post about a different featured deal on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.

If at the end of the week, you are hooked by their content just as I was a few years ago, then I want to highly recommend that you check out the "Orange Books Digital Library," which includes nearly $400 of giveaways.

All of which you can find at

This week, check our MarriedPeople. I just finished reading this book and am excited to work with my staff on ways that we can create and implement a culture where marriages can thrive at both my church, Hillside Church, and our greater community of Marin County, CA.

Because when marriages win, then whole communities win, and ultimately, the Kingdom of God wins!

Hear from the authors themselves on writing the book and why church leaders NEED to give serious consideration to equipping marriages:

Buy one copy of the book Married People, and get all of the following:

  • “Why Marriage Ministry Is Doable for Every Church” (Orange Conference 2014 breakout by Ted Lowe, audio file)
  • “Married and in Ministry” (Orange Conference 2014 breakout by Ted Lowe and Doug Fields, audio file)
  • An annual subscription to MarriedPeople E-ZINE (a monthly resource of ideas, insights, and “go and do’s” you can email to the married couples in your church)

Plus, when you tweet or share on Facebook any of the deals using the hashtag #OrangeBooks, you’ll be entered to win a prize.
